Cobram Secondary College unveils its mural

Cobram Secondary College band students have been immortalised on the walls of the west wing after the school unveiled its mural.

As part of a refurbishment of the building, students from Years 7 to 12 were last year photographed and the images used to make a mural to cover the previously bare walls.

Parents and band students were invited along to the official unveiling of the mural recently, with the students posing with their instruments for a photo.

Cobram Secondary College principal Kimberley Tempest said it was a project the school could continue to add to.

“The band is like a family for so many students and so we wanted to get it back up and going,” she said.

“At school we believe every opportunity should be taken and these students have, which is brilliant.”

The west wing, which houses everything arts and technology, was recently re-painted, re-carpeted and now is home to the mural.

“The excitement of everyone there (at the unveiling) was fantastic,” Ms Tempest said.
