Cobram Primary School has undergone significant renovations with students now enjoying new state-of-the-art classrooms.
The new facility has seven classrooms for junior students as well as a dedicated art room.
It is equipped with the latest technology and also include a sunlit “mini plaza” where students can relax.
The internal layout includes large open spaces for students to move around in, and plenty of windows, which makes it more spacious than traditional classrooms.
Cobram Primary School deputy principal Jeremy O’Brien said the new facilities were part of a significant infrastructure project which sought to modernise all the school facilities.
“We were lucky enough to receive $10 million worth of funding,” Mr O’Brien said.
Alongside the classrooms, the school’s entire administration building has been refurbished and the school has completed a full internal makeover on the school’s multipurpose room.
Mr O’Brien said once completed, all the buildings within the school would be under 12 years old.
The deputy principal was especially proud of the dedicated art room which he said would hopefully open doors to students once they progress out of primary school.
It's not just the staff who are pleased with the new facilities.
Student Ashtyn Speechly agrees the new facilities are a big improvement.
“I like how there's more space for everyone and that there is more room to play now because they knocked down the other buildings,” Ashtyn said.
