The permanent closure of Coles Mooroopna in late 2022 has been confirmed.
Rumours have been circulating in the community of the Echuca Rd store closing, and a Coles spokesperson has confirmed it is the case.
“Coles is constantly evaluating our store network to ensure we are delivering the best shopping experience for our customers, and as part of that process Coles supermarket, Liquorland and Coles Express at Mooroopna will permanently close in late 2022,” the spokesperson said.
“We are working closely with our team members during this transition period, including offering redeployment opportunities at other stores in our network.
“Customers of our Mooroopna store will find the same great value and quality they expect from Coles at our nearby stores including Coles Riverside Plaza Kialla or Coles Shepparton.”
Mooroopna residents will have Woolworths and Aldi as chain supermarket options in town, located in McLennan St.
The nearest Coles stores for Mooroopna customers are in Kialla and Shepparton, both about 5km away.
