Coly players help neighbouring clubs

Harvey Pound, Riley Boag, Xavier Jones, Alex Pound and Louise Rose jumped over to the Picola League to play for Jerilderie for the weekend.

With the Coleambally Football & Netball Club having both the junior and senior club bye over the weekend, a number of players played for neighbouring clubs in different junior and senior competitions.

Recently selected u12s Riverina rep Harvey Pound played for Mathoura, whilst Alex Pound, Riley Boag, Xavier Jones and Louise Rose donned Coleambally’s old Demon (Jerilderie) colours.

It meant they played against each other in the Jerilderie Mathoura game on the Picola & District fourths AFL game.

Riley bagged three and Xavier kicked two goals.

All players worked hard with their team mates in a great show of helping other clubs out in the school holiday period.

Senior netballer Lauren Pound was a standout in the A-reserve grade for the Griffith Swans on Saturday, in the Riverina Netball League match against Mangoplah Goannas.

The Coleambally seniors return to their games after a double bye (Easter and club bye) against nemesis CSU this Saturday at Coleambally.

Our juniors have another bye, with training resuming this Friday from 5pm.
