Contrast Seymour Art Program

Contrast Seymour Art Program is an eight-week journey incorporating art with guidance facilitated by art therapists, service providers and professional artists.

Locals aged 12 to 17 are eligible to apply.

The program is held every Thursday until April 18, from 4pm to 5.30pm.

Places on the program are limited.

Goulburn River Trail parkrun

The Goulburn River Trail parkrun starts at New Crossing Place on Manners St, Seymour, offering a picturesque route along the river.

It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors, stay active and connect with the community.

All are welcome to join this celebration of health and community spirit.

Join the fun at New Crossing Place from 8am to 9.30am on Saturday, March 30, Saturday, April 6, and Saturday, April 13.

Art4CFA

Tallarook CFA will hold an art exhibition and sale at the Tallarook Fire Station, opening on Thursday, March 28 and continuing over Easter.

The event opens at 6.30pm on Thursday, March 28, then runs from 10am to 4pm on Friday, March 29 to Sunday, March 31, and 10am to 1pm on Monday, April 1.

The exhibition will feature 12 artists.

Entry to the event is by gold coin donation.

Kelvin Grove Village Hall’s second Art and Craft Show

On Saturday, April 6, local artists and more will showcase their art at 127 at High St, Nagambie, from 1pm until 4.30pm.

Entry is by $2 gold coin donation and includes small afternoon tea.

The fair is open to residents and community members with something to display.

Set-up day is Friday, April 5, in Kelvin Grove Village Hall from 11am until 4pm.

Entries close on Tuesday, April 2.

Harmony Week in Mitchell Shire

Harmony Week is a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism and the successful integration of migrants into our community.

This year, Mitchell Shire Council has provided funding support to local non-profit organisations to host a series of events throughout the week.

Libraries will also be hosting morning tea gatherings, providing a warm and welcoming space for residents to connect and share their stories.

Harmony Week began on Monday, March 18, and ends on Sunday, March 24.

Morning Tea and More

The Seymour Volunteer Group of Cancer Council Victoria will host Morning Tea and More on Thursday, March 21, from 10am until noon at the Senior Citizens’ Hall in Seymour.

Lucky door prizes and entertainment are included in the $10 ticket.

Seymour Alternative Farming Expo

The Goulburn Valley’s biggest regional event — the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo — is back, and tickets are now available.

Country Kitchen and Butcher Shop demonstrations, the National Whipcracking Championships and Beloka Kelpies will be some of the acts at this year’s expo.

More than 400 exhibitors, including farm lectures, Learning Hub talks and the arts and crafts pavilion, as well as plenty of livestock, will be at the three-day expo.

The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo is on from Friday, April 12, to Sunday, April 14, at Kings Park, Seymour.

Tastes of the Goulburn

Experience the one-day food and wine festival celebrating the best of the Goulburn Valley on Saturday, April 27.

Early bird tickets for Tastes of the Goulburn are now available.
