The Voice referendum discussion hosted by Seymour & District U3A
Tuesday, September 5 from 1.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall, 8/10 Victoria St, Seymour
A facilitated discussion on this important issue, taking into account both the Yes and the No perspectives. The talk will clarify what this Voice would look like, what powers it would have and what it would it mean for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous citizens.
Sarah Brenan, editor of several indigenous books, has offered to lead a discussion on this important issue. It is an opportunity to raise any concerns that you may have, clarify your thoughts and make an informed choice.

Cool Heads young drivers program
At Alexandra Football and Netball Club on Wednesday, September 6, from 7pm to 9pm.
The event is a thought-provoking, confronting and informative road safety program, with advice on a wide range of topics for young drivers.
Remember Me charity event
A community-led fundraising event in support of cancer research will take place on Friday, September 29.
It begins at 10.30am with a meet and greet at Wine X Sam followed by an all-inclusive lunch at Seymour Racecourse. The event will feature auctions, wine sales, guest speakers, entertainment and gift bags.
Tickets are $150, with $50 from every ticket going to cancer research. Tickets are on sale via TryBooking.
SES Open Day
Saturday, October 14 from 10am to 3pm at the Seymour SES Shed on Wimble St, Seymour.
The open day and information session is inclusive of other emergency service and community organisations, including the Men’s Shed and Seymour Rotary.
Victorian 2023 Monaro State Titles
Sunday, November 26 from 7.30am to 2pm at Kings Park.
See 200 cars gather for a shot at the title. Entries close Thursday, October 26.
The national championship will be held in October 2024 in Wangaratta.
