Nominations are now open for the NSW and Victoria Awards Australia Community Achievement Awards.
These awards aim to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions that individuals, communities and businesses make throughout regional and rural NSW and Victoria.
Nominations for both states opened on Wednesday, June 19, and they will close for NSW on Wednesday, August 21 and Victoria on Wednesday, September 4.
Judging for the awards in NSW will begin on Wednesday, September 25 and in Victoria on Wednesday, October 9.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Friday, November 1 at the Sydney Masonic Centre for NSW and on Friday, December 13 at Pullman Melbourne on the Park for Victorian award winners.
Entry is free and each nominee can enter a maximum of two categories; however, a separate application is required for each nomination.
Four category finalists are selected for each award category; one category winner is selected as the award winner.
The winners will also be featured in a TV ad, which will be aired on the Seven Network across regional Victoria and NSW.
All nominees and finalists will receive a letter of congratulations and a certificate of encouragement for their nomination.
Eight award categories are available for NSW and Victoria, yet most of the awards are different depending on the state.
Only the Awards Australia Community Group Award and Konica Minolta Customer Service Award are the same across NSW and Victoria.
