Casual Clothes Day fundraising success at Yarrawonga P-12!
A huge thank you to the amazing students at Yarrawonga P-12 for their generous support to Helping Hands during Casual Clothes Day!
With your gold coin donations, the students raised an incredible $792.55 for Helping Hands, contributing to our Community Heart Appeal. What a wonderful, caring community we live in!
Yarrawonga Health acknowledged Zoe Schweda, the youth representative on the Helping Hands Committee. Zoe who has done an amazing job in this role and will be seeking another student from P-12 to take over for 2025.

Student claims 3rd place at State Athletics.
Yarrawonga College P-12 Year 10 student, Abbey Ibrahim has secured a 3rd place in the 200m at the recent Secondary State Athletics Championships held in Melbourne.
Abbey has been a consistent State representative for YCP-12 throughout her schooling years and the school community send a huge congratulations to her.
Burramine Rose Garden Open Day
Burramine residents Carol and Peter Lawless will be opening their garden at 1318 Katamatite-Yarrawonga Rd for a fundraiser for Friends In Common this Sunday, November 3 from 10-5pm, Friends In Common will also have a raffle and will be serving morning and afternoon tea! Spectacular art show
The Yarrawonga Mulwala Artists’ Association Annual Art Show is to be held at Club Mulwala from Thursday, October 31 to Sunday, November 11.
Over 60 wonderful artworks on display with a variety of styles and mediums.
All art is for sale.
Thanks to Club Mulwala for their ongoing support of the association over many years.
Also, drop in to the permanent Art Gallery at 26 Hovell Street Yarrawonga which is open Wednesdays to Sundays 10am to 4pm.

Katamatite Vintage Tractor and Engine Club events
The Katamatite Vintage Tractor and Engine Club are running a tractor pull at the show grounds on Saturday, November 9 between 10.30am and 2.00pm.
The club are encouraging the general public to come down and have a look at the old tractors and machinery on display.
The tractors pulling are made between 1920 and 1970.
Entry is free and it’s sure to bring a smile to many faces.
The Katamatite Vintage Tractor and Engine Club are always looking for new members so if anyone is interested in joining the KVT&EC please contact Greg Cummins on 0428 484 210
The club are also assisting the Motor Neuron Disease Fund with a tractor trek fundraiser in March 2026.
This fundraiser has been held every second year for the past 10 years and has raised over $113,000. This year was a great effort in raising $45,000.
Over the previous years it has gone from the Murray River to the Murrumbidgee River via different routes.
These treks are held over seven days travelling approximately 70 – 100 kilometers per day.
The trekkers pay an entry fee which covers all meals but they have to provide their own fuel, camping and entertainment costs.
