The Restoring Community War Memorials and Avenues of Honour Grant Program is accepting grant applications for projects up to $30,000.

State Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe is encouraging local community groups to restore war memorials, honour rolls and avenues of honour to their original condition or change to reflect veteran service in the community better.

“This program supports many local war memorials across the Shepparton District that commemorate and pay tribute to those in our community who have served our great nation in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations,” Ms O’Keeffe said.

“Ex-service organisations, local government authorities, not-for-profit organisations and education institutions are encouraged to apply and make use of this recent funding round.”

Applications are open until February 12, 2024, and can be submitted online at vic.gov.au/restoring-community-war-memorials-and-avenues-honour

Letters of support for applications to be submitted for this funding round can be obtained from Ms O’Keeffe by contacting her office at 5831 6944 or emailing kim.okeeffe@parliament.vic.gov.au with details of your project.
