The NSW Rural Fire Service is made up of community members from all walks of life.

With more than 74,000 members across the state, we are the world's largest volunteer fire service.

We have a role for everyone from firefighting and communications to brigade administration and community engagement.

Locals are encouraged to take advantage of the safe driving courses coming up in Leeton.

Offered through the PCYC, the course will be on Setember 6 and 7.

By attending you can become a safer driver, receive 20 bonus logbook hours and be ready for your P-plates sooner.

Murrumbidgee Council is currently running an online survey to gather information about the community’s preferred options for opening days and times at each of the swimming pools.

The survey is available online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/MC_pool_survey or printed copies are available in each office.

The survey closes on Monday, August 5 at 5 pm.
