Corowa Show ready to go this weekend

Looking for something do this weekend? The Corowa Show returns on Sunday, October 9 with plenty of fun and family activities.

The 142nd Corowa Show returns this weekend with rides, entertainment, animals and more promising a fun filled day for families and visitors.

The Corowa Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Society has worked hard to put together a great day on Sunday with a full program of events.

The entertainment begins at 10.00 am and goes nonstop until 3.30 – 4.00 pm with an animal nursery, Balloonatic Bruce and even a pirate show.

There is also the usual sideshow alley, with show bags, show rides, food and many different stalls all selling something different.

The horse arena will be a spectacular sight this year. Ringmaster Sara Love has organised a very busy day for participants.

Be sure to also visit the poultry pavilion and check out the turkey that took out the champion bird of the Sydney Royal Show winning against 50 other competitors.

Don’t forget the showgirl/boy competition. Register your child on the day outside the secretary’s office from 11.30 am – 12.45 pm. Judging begins at 1.30 pm. There are sections ranging from under 3 years up to 16 – 18 years old.

If you need to sit back and relax, the Albury Band will be playing music for two one-hour blocks with tunes all will enjoy.

The schedules are now being distributed so they will be readily available.

The Show Office down at the showgrounds will be open from Monday, October 3 from 11.00 am to 4.30 pm until Monday, October 10. Schedules will be available from the office.

Entry to the show is $5.00 for adults and free for children and concession card holders.
