One of the best things about the Benalla Festival is the spotlight it shines on local clubs and groups.
The Broken River Potters is again part of the festival this year, with its rooms in the old Benalla Migrant Camp schoolhouse open on both weekends.
Club member Linda Lees gave the Ensign a tour of the workshop and gallery on Saturday, November 4.
“It’s nice to have the community come together to get out and see what different groups in the town are doing,” Ms Lees said.
“We are open 11am to 4pm on both weekends of the festival.
“We have around 20 members. Many come here on different days, so it’s not always crowded.”

Or wander in and see some of the unique items the potters make.
Most items on display are for sale and Ms Lees said they are affordable and would make a great Christmas present.
“We have functional works like platters, bowls and oven dishes,” she said
“And there’s also decorative things or things for the garden.
“We’ve got candle holders, wind chimes and lots more.”
