Deserving honour for Berrigan volunteer

Gwen Chisholm receives her life membership to the Berrigan Football Netball Club in 1993.

Congratulations to Gwen Chisholm who has been recognised with an OAM as part of the King's Birthday honour's list.

Gwen joined the Berrigan Football Club in 1964 and became a member of the Berrigan Cricket Club the same year.

Gwen has been a big part of both clubs for more than 50 years, especially in the kitchen where she made sure there was plenty of food for the supporters on a Saturday and helping on Thursday night meals.

Gwen had the support of her late husband Brian over the many years who also received an OAM in 2023.

Together their volunteer work for Berrigan has been inspiring and so well deserved.

The community thank and congratulate Gwen on such a wonderful award.
