Discover hidden gems at the Tatura Rotary art show

The Rotary Club of Tatura Art Show has been running at Victory Hall since 2006.

Art lovers will be flocking to Tatura this weekend for the return of a much-loved annual exhibition.

The Tatura Rotary Club Art Show is back at Victory Hall for its 15th show.

Show co-ordinator Rhonda Rose said it was an important community event, giving budding artists the rare opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in a supportive environment.

“It’s an opening for the artists to expand their horizons, and it gives new artists confidence,” she said.

“When artists are able to sell their stuff, they become enthused and encouraged by things they have done.”

This year’s show combines new and loyal contributors, young and old, from across the country.

“There are a lot of new artists this year, and there’s always something new to see,” Ms Rose said.

Attendees can purchase their favourite pieces, and all money goes back to the community.

The Rotary club will collect all money raised and redistribute it to the community through projects and support to local sporting clubs and schools.

Food, drinks and entertainment will be available on the opening night, and food will be available at an on-site café for the three days following.

A beautiful painting will be raffled at the show.
