Funk and soul: Nine-piece powerhouse The Bamboos are bringing their signature sound to Grounded.

Grounded by name but funky by nature.

Risen to a calibre of its own right, the former Secret Garden Gig returns to Dookie Quarry’s red earth on Saturday, December 2.

Each year, the festival delivers a diverse line-up of musical artists and food vendors, and this year is no exception.

The Bamboos have been announced as headliners, bringing their ARIA award-winning funky anthems to the sonic celebration.

Described as architects of Australian soul music, the Melbourne-based band boasts nine studio albums, a global fanbase, and a stage presence that has ignited renowned festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Bluesfest and Falls Festival.

Gracing the stage alongside The Bamboos are JBandMe, Charm of Finches and Bricky B.

Plus, local legend DJ Bung will be sharing the beats between sets.

Under the theme, ‘Soul Serenity Unleashed’, the festival promises to transcend the traditional festival experience yet again.

Grounded festival is on Saturday, December 2, from 4pm to 11pm at Dookie Quarry, 38 Baldock St, Dookie.

Third-release tickets are on sale now for $85 general admission or $100 including a bus pass.
