A driver was allegedly more than five times the legal alcohol limit when stopped by police.
Police stopped the woman at 7pm on Tuesday, December 5, on Pine St, Cobram.
The 48-year-old woman allegedly recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.281, five-and-a half times the legal limit, police said.
The driver was banned from driving on the spot, and her vehicle, a Holden Cruze, was impounded at a cost of $1500.
The woman will be charged with drink driving offences and face Cobram Magistrates’ Court in the New Year.
