A man who police claim has never had a driver’s licence will face court after police caught him behind the wheel of a car.

Shepparton police Sergeant Matt Walker said police stopped a car on St George’s Rd in Shepparton about 1.30pm on Friday, February 2.

According to police, the driver did not have a driver’s licence and had never held one.

The Nissan sedan, which was also unregistered, was impounded by police.

A Shepparton man in his 30s will be charged on summons with unlicensed driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.

He will face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
