Greater Shepparton City Council’s second Empowering Early Years Recruitment Day was a big success.

Held on Wednesday, October 23, the day attracted 44 attendees, including aspiring educators, graduates and career-changers ready to start their career in early education.

The event aimed to address the growing demand for early childhood educators and simplify the application process, with the council’s manager for early years operations and reform, Stacey East, calling the event a huge success.

“We are pleased with the response to our recruitment day and are excited to welcome passionate individuals to our team,” she said.

“The strong interest shows the community’s commitment to supporting our youngest residents and their families.”

The council looks forward to welcoming new educators to its early years team, who will play a vital role in supporting children in the community.

Those who missed the recruitment day and are interested in a career in early childhood education are encouraged to email council@shepparton.vic.gov.au for more information.
