It’s beginning to look a lot like Easter in Cobram.
Businesses across the district are set to play host to a range of colourful rabbit figurines in a project organised by arts group Arts for All Inc.
The bunnies were crafted by volunteers at the Cobram Men’s Shed, and hand painted by organisers at Arts for All Inc. like president June Wood.
“They’re a bit of fun. And they’re cute. I think it all adds to that Easter spirit, I suppose, having a nice little Easter bunny,” Mrs Wood said.
“We’ve had a bit more time to organise it, so we’ve put different patterns on them and made them a bit brighter and fun this year, whereas last year, they were a little bit plain, some of them.”
Mrs Wood said the business community had gotten onboard with the project once again.
At least 35 businesses, including Noonans Showcase Jewellers on Punt Rd, will have their hands on a cut-out this April.
It might be the group’s last year of running the project, but that doesn’t mean it won’t go out with a bang.
“We’ve enjoyed doing it, but I think we’ll do something new next year,” Mrs Wood said.
“This year, people have really gotten on board. It’s something they like and enjoy.”
