Urana’s stockman and his mob of sheep are getting into the Easter spirit.
Each year around Christmas, Australia Day and Easter, it is traditional for Urana’s famous sculpture to have a festive make-over.
The Urana Progress Association (UPA) has been busy with Easter preparations.
The project is part of an intergenerational program to foster unified relationships between younger and older community members.
The UPA contributes to the community by maintaining the courthouse, bird avary and other projects around town.
Secretary Wendy Mallom said that social interaction between different generations was very important in preserving the region's history.
The program recently showcased a 1960’s school lesson, providing children insight into a former pastime.
Urana locals are encouraged to join UPA, and participate in the community intergenerational program.
Those passing through the region and neighbouring communities, are encouraged to visit the sculpture throughout April.
