The Echuca Moama Youth Expo, held every two years for students in Year 8 to 10, will return on Thursday, September 12.
A wide range of sporting groups, community groups, volunteer groups, health and welfare services and support networks will be exhibiting their services on the day.
Event organiser Nikki Harris said the expo was a great way to give students exposure to local groups and services and hoped the students would take on some of the volunteering opportunities.
“I think it’s important for students to be exposed to community groups, sporting groups and volunteering opportunities that are available within their community,” she said.
“It is a market-style event, so they have an hour to just browse around at their own pace and see what piques their interest.
“We want to let them know that those services are available to them... and we’re hoping that students pick up on volunteering opportunities too.”
Echuca College, Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School, St Joseph's College Echuca and Rochester Secondary College will be participating on the day.
There will also be more than 25 exhibitors, including the Campaspe Regional Library, Headspace, Echuca Games Store, Echuca Regional Health, Crossenvale Community House, Wickhams Martial Arts, Echuca Moama Little Athletics, Apprenticeship Support Australia and Indie College.
The event will run from 9am to 1pm at the Echuca Basketball Stadium.
Any businesses or groups that would like to be an exhibitor at the event are encouraged to contact Nikki Harris on 0428 474 014 or harris.n@ccllen.com.au
