Echuca’s newest kindergarten is coming together, with the new buildings craned into place on Friday, November 8.
The ready-made buildings arrived on six semi trailers, with the pieces being craned together.
The kindergarten, on the far end of the Echuca Primary School oval, is set to be fully operational by January 2025.
It is expected to provide 66 much-needed kinder spots for families in Echuca and surrounding areas.
The new kinder is part of the Kindergarten on School Site program and will have Shine Bright as the education provider.
Shine Bright’s chief executive Richie Evans said they were looking forward to providing the same great service as found throughout their other locations.
“Around 75 per cent of Shine Bright Kindergartens are exceeding services under the assessment and rating framework,” he said.
“The KOSS could not receive a better start than having these excellent educational teams and the support of Shine Bright to be open and importantly delivering exceeding educational experiences from January 2025 for children.”
The new facility will feature two large rooms, new furniture and resources, and a new team of educators who have already been secured.
The project has been made possible through the ongoing partnership and support of the Campaspe Shire Council.
Enrolments for the kinder are now open with the council handling all enrolments.
