Eileen tipped plenty of winners

Winner, winner: Eileen Herring took out the Seymour Telegraph public football tipping competition, and is pictured here alongside journalist Bianca Hall (left).

Eileen Herring took out the Seymour Telegraph public football tipping competition, and along with her name being engraved on the perpetual shield, she also took home a $100 gift card to spend at participating businesses.

Eileen finished with 149 correct tips for the AFL season, with her husband Wayne and Margaret Lucas second on 145.

Wayne was gracious enough to still take his wife’s winning photo — she is pictured here receiving a certificate from The Telegraph journalist Bianca Hall.

In the business tipping competition there was a remarkable three-way tie between Greg from Ferguson Plarre, Robert from Kemp’s Furniture and Adam from Seymour Toyota — but more on that next week.
