Regional Roads Victoria is conducting emergency repair works at the intersection of Wyndham and Nixon Sts.
The intersection was the scene of a “pavement traffic hazard” on November 11 last year, and large steel plates have been present on the site of the hazard ever since.
“Crews will be working from 7am to 5pm from Tuesday, February 21 to Thursday, February 23,” Regional Roads Victoria said.
“During this time lane closures on Wyndham St and Nixon St will be required at times. Speeds will be reduced to 40km/h for the safety of motorists and our work crews.
“Please follow the direction of on-site traffic management while the works are under way.
“Access to businesses and pedestrian access via footpaths will be maintained throughout the works.
“Delays should be expected. Consider seeking an alternate route if possible. Plan ahead and allow extra time.”
