There will be an ‘empowHERing’ high tea event in Kyabram to mark International Women’s Day this Thursday, March 7.

The event, organised by local community group ‘EmpowHER — Connecting Women’, aims to celebrate and empower women from all walks of life.

The Flamingo Project founder Neha Samar will be the guest speaker, sharing her insights and experiences to motivate and uplift those in attendance.

Attendees can look forward to an afternoon of inspiration, networking and delicious treats in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

The Flamingo Project is a not-for-profit organisation and community hub based in Greater Shepparton crafted to help local women in regional Victoria by fostering real-world connections. It offers mentorship designed to connect experienced mentors with those seeking guidance and support.

The objective of The Flamingo Project is to build on the foundation of empowerment and aims to inspire and uplift women from different backgrounds.

The Flamingo Project is creating a space for local women to overcome barriers and find inspiration in each other.

Ms Samar will talk about emotional resilience, breaking generational trauma, financial barriers and dealing with rejection — all while being a mother.

With a focus on empowerment and community building, the high tea event aims to create a space where women can feel supported, encouraged and celebrated.

EmpowHER – Connecting Women representative Michelle Sing said she was excited about the event.

“We want people to enjoy themselves,” she said.

“It’s a great way to get people talking.”

The high tea will be held at the Parkland Golf Course on Thursday, March 7, at 1:30pm, with a lucky door prize and champagne on arrival.

Tickets are now available, and organisers encourage women of all ages (18 and above) and backgrounds to attend.

Whether you’re looking to connect with like-minded individuals, gain inspiration for your own endeavours, or simply enjoy a lovely afternoon in the company of inspiring women, this event is sure to be a highlight of the International Women’s Day celebrations in Kyabram.
