Euroa wins 2022 Tidy Town award

All smiles: Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria stakeholder engagement manager Emma White, Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria chief executive Olivia Lynch, Strathbogie Shire Mayor Laura Binks and Euroa Arboertum’s Cathy Olive and Shirley Saywell.

Euroa’s community spirit and environmental achievements have been recognised, with the town named the 2022 Tidy Town of the Year by Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria on November 23.

A ceremony was held at the Euroa Arboretum to celebrate the town’s efforts.

Strathbogie Shire Mayor Laura Binks said council was honoured to be recognised with the prestigious award.

“The Euroa Arboretum provides the perfect backdrop for the trophy handover ceremony as it was recognised, alongside the Euroa Environment Group, at the Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards,” she said.

“These winning projects put Euroa in the running for the Victorian Tidy Town Award against some stiff competition.”
