Tom Curtain's Good Life Tour is poised to deliver a one-of-a-kind outback experience at Corringle Station, Moama, on Saturday, November 9.

The show, a condensed version of his Katherine Outback Experience, promises to be an engaging, family-oriented event with crowd participation, blending of horsemanship, working dogs and music.

“We bring 10 horses, 10 working dogs, four goats, musicians and do an outback experience show,” Mr Curtain said.

“We try to get a lot of crowd participation.”

The performance features animals at various stages of training, offering audiences a glimpse into the process.

“The dogs and horses in the show are dogs or horses that don’t get along with people and we train them up in the actual shows,” Mr Curtain said.

“We get the kids to come out and help train the dogs. It is very much a family-orientated show.”

Mr Curtain highlighted the show’s interactive nature, culminating in a concert where he showcases his multi-tasking skills.

“I try to ride a horse around, play the guitar and sing a song, all simultaneously,” he said.

“It is a snapshot of what goes on up here in the Territory.”

Now in its ninth year, the tour operates for six months annually, with the remainder of the year based in Katherine.

The show also stands in solidarity with an important cause: promoting awareness and support for anti-bullying initiatives.

“We have written a new song, Be Kind, for Dolly’s Dream,” Mr Curtain said.

“We get a lot of kids in the crowd to help sing that and raise awareness of anti-bullying.

“Through merchandise sales, the initiative has raised $60,000 for Dolly’s Dream.”
