Edward River Art Society and Kurrajong are coming together to celebrate the boundless possibilities of art throughout July.
The Boundless exhibition will feature works from Kurrajong’s Studio 2710 program and ERAS members.
It will be hosted at the Riverbend Gallery operated by ERAS in Hardinge St, Deniliquin.
ERAS president Lou Graham said running with the theme, the exhibition will feature a selection of abstract art works.
She acknowledged that people often have very strong feelings about this type of art.
“Abstract work challenges traditional boundaries, and encourages both the artist and the viewer to explore new possibilities by being curious about its meaning and the techniques used,” she said.
“It is wonderful to see the unique freedom of expression and innovative work created by artists in our community.
“Art is a personal thing.”
Studio 2710 is one of the ways Kurrajong supports those with a disability to develop their creative talent and expression.
“Our exhibition honours the many ways artistic expression can create connection,” Mrs Graham said.
“We are inviting everyone to discover the boundless possibilities of abstract art at the free exhibition opening party this Friday, at 5pm at Riverbend Gallery.”
