Darcie Guthrie.

How old are you?

20.

How long have you lived in Shepparton?

20 years.

What do you do?

I am a duty supervisor, lifeguard and swim teacher at Aquamoves. I’m also studying a Bachelor of Education in Bendigo. I really love it, but nothing beats coming home and catching up with my family and friends.

What are your favourite things to do in the region?

I’m a swimmer, bit biased because I work here, but I love spending time at Aquamoves, going to the gym, and swimming. I also love taking walks around the lake and going for coffee with my best friend, Jess Carroll. I think our favourite café would have to be Lemon Tree.

Any projects or initiatives you’re involved with in Shepparton?

I’m involved in the Shepparton Swimming Club. I’ve been captain of that in the past, and I’ve done a lot of leading and competing with the club.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I see myself in the classroom as a teacher. I aspire to get into the education system and work my way up.
