What is your name?

My name is Kristy Rudd.

Are you from the Goulburn Valley?

Yes, born and bred! I currently live in Bunbartha and my husband and I are descendants of original settlers.

What do you do with yourself?

I am a full-time volunteer at Shepparton Heritage Centre. I am currently building the profile of the museum to turn it into a business.

What is your favourite thing about the Goulburn Valley?

The community is so welcoming and friendly. It’s like your extended family! The area is beautiful too, with many day trips on offer and spots to explore. Having the river at our doorstep and being close to nature is great.

If you had one superpower, what would it be?

My heart is about the community. Everyone deserves to be given the environment where they can blossom and thrive. I used to work in disability support and there’s so much potential out there.

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?

Embrace what you have in front of you and live each day fully. Keep moving forward!
