What’s your name?

My name is Paris MacDougall.

Where are you from?

I was born in Melbourne and grew up in Bunbartha before moving to Canada, where I lived for three years before recently returning.

What do you do with yourself?

I am a casual customer service officer at SAM, and teach yoga at Fernwood while finishing my studies. I love what I do and feel privileged to be part of such a beautiful, vibrant community of women.

What are you studying?

I am in the final year of my Health Science degree, having pursued my studies part-time for the past 10 years. I am keen to complete my academic journey and graduate.

What are your goals?

In Canada, incorporating plant medicine into our approach to health is more ingrained than in Australia. I want to complete my studies and work in a clinical practice as a clinical herbalist, working alongside other health practitioners. This collaborative experience will serve as a stepping stone towards realising my ultimate goal of establishing my own holistic clinic, which will promote wellbeing by integrating herbal remedies and traditional practices.
