A Seymour family is hoping its feline friend will soon find his way home.
Rod Peters was looking after Charlie, his grandchildren’s four-year-old black cat with a white chest and paws, when the feline disappeared from Swan Crt, Seymour, on May 23.
However, Mr Peters believes Charlie may have been catnapped.
He saw a car pull up outside the house on the afternoon Charlie went missing.
“I didn’t think anything of unit until I realised the cat was missing,” he said.
Mr Peters reported the incident to the police but was told that without a number plate, there was not enough evidence to start a report.
“I’ve got no idea whether someone thought they might breed from him or they took him as a pet. I don’t know what it was. They will be sadly disappointed if they are trying to breed from him, because he’s neutered,” he said.
“Charlie belongs to my grandchildren. I was looking after it for the grandchildren.
“They miss him.”
Mr Peters has one message for anyone who may know Charlie’s whereabouts.
“Bring him back. He is a valuable family member to the grandkids,” he said.
