In the seven years that Ian Gray has been missing, Sarah Richards has never lost faith that her father is still out there.

She was 40 years old when her father, who was then aged 66, was last seen leaving his home address on Bunnaloo Rd, Mathoura, on Friday, September 11, 2015.

A well-known sheep farmer, Mr Gray was driving a white four-wheel drive Holden Rodeo with a cage on the back and registration AG4 6AJ at the time of his disappearance.

He has not been heard from or seen since and his bank accounts have not been accessed.

Ms Richards said she has never given up hope that her father is still alive.

“I still believe he’s out there,” Ms Richards said.

“It’s just a feeling that I have and there are others in the family who have similar feelings.”

Last year an investigation into Mr Gray’s disappearance was re-opened by the Murray River Police District under Strike Force Kirkne, however, no new information came to light.

Ms Richards said it was a horrific feeling to still not have any answers.

“It’s the not knowing that’s the hardest bit,” she said.

“I just miss being able to pick up the phone and speak to him everyday.”

Ms Richards urged anyone who had any information to come forward by phoning the Deniliquin Police Station on 5881 9299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

“It’s been seven long years and we just want to know what happened,” she said.
