The Amadeis have welcomed a brand-new addition to their family. She’s small, cute and a little fluff ball.

Ruby and Oliver Amadei’s mum surprised them with their dream dog, Maggie, a nine-week-old cavoodle, after returning home from their camping trip. They were both pretty excited.

“It was a surprise, Mum didn’t tell us!” Oliver said.

Maggie is Ruby and Oliver’s first dog, and they describe her as a “little rag doll” whom they adore.

She’s rarely on the ground, as she’s always in someone’s arms, receiving a massive cuddle — much to her delight.

Like other puppies her age, Maggie loves to play and chase things around, and she’s ready to go from the moment she wakes up.

“When we wake up, she just runs around the whole house,” Ruby said.

“She’s so much fun to play with.”

But she’s not like other dogs, and has a fascination with the peculiar.

“She likes to play with toy monster trucks and chase them around,” Ruby said.

“She loves leaves and loves to chase them as well.”

Although she hasn’t picked up many tricks yet, she has a taste for mischief.

“She knows how to sit and lay down,” Ruby said.

“She’s into biting; she’ll bite the couch, her blanket and anything she sees.

“Even if we say ‘stop it’ she’ll just keep doing it!”

After a big or small day of playing, Maggie likes to curl up in her doggy bed, wrapped up in a blanket.

Needless to say, she has already fit perfectly into the family.
