First election results come in

The Victorian Electoral Commission office in Campaspe Shire has shared a progressive count of the number of first preference votes for each candidate in the 2024 local council election.

This list was updated at 4.34pm on Thursday, October 31, and is available to access outside the election office at 2 Heygarth St, Echuca.

The votes cannot be accessed online, and will be updated by the electoral officer after each counting day until the result is declared in the coming weeks.

In order of votes: Rob Amos is on 1755; Jessica Mitchell on 1574; Paul Jarman on 1290; John Zobec on 1238; Luke Sharrock on 1051; Adrian Weston on 966; Tony Marwood on 920; Daniel Mackrell on 796; Zoe Cook on 771; Michael Farrant on 766; Deb Chumbley on 667 and Brett Ould on 271.

A total of 12,065 votes have been counted.

In November 2022, Campaspe Shire Council had 31,046 electors, meaning around 40 per cent of votes have been counted by this number.

The Riv will provide an updated count in Monday and Wednesday’s papers.
