A Barooga club is embracing the area’s Aboriginal culture with a unique installation, and the whole community is invited.

It has been years in the making, but the Sporties Barooga Bullanginya Dreaming Luna Light Journey will officially open on Friday, May 24.

Located on the banks of Bullanginya Lagoon in Barooga, the permanent $1.5 million light and sound show will entice locals and tourists alike.

The show promises to thrill attendees as they enjoy captivating engaging storytelling and dynamic multimedia displays which blend Indigenous history and culture with the elemental forces of water, light and fire.

Attendees will undertake a 1.3km scenic walk and stop at each of the 13 activation points, which will be composed of sculptures that are lit up along with laser lights and imagery set on to smoky backgrounds.
