Get ready to take your children to Fraser St on the weekend to check out a new playground, as the first stage of the Maude Street Mall redevelopment has been completed.
To celebrate, everything from live music to free kids’ activities will be organised by Greater Shepparton City Council for Saturday.
Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said the milestone event would be exciting for the community.
“It is a great way to invite the community back into the area and will be a fantastic, free event for families and anyone interested in the project,” she said.
The freshly coloured play space includes stepping stones, a slide and climbing equipment.
Some local retailers and traders have organised special offerings for customers, providing a chance to do some last-minute Mother’s Day shopping.
