Your turn: Bunbartha is the latest community in the region to receive a flood outlook and recovery update session.

Greater Shepparton City Council has announced its latest flood outlook and recovery update session, this time for the Bunbartha community.

This session will offer a thorough overview of flood predictions, ongoing flood recovery efforts, and crucial emergency preparedness measures specific to Bunbartha.

Past sessions have had members of VicSES, Goulburn-Murray Water and the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority as panellists and have opened the floor to the community for a Q and A session with the experts.

Council director of community Louise Mitchell said council focused on keeping the community well informed and safe.

“This session will provide updates to residents on crucial areas such as weather forecasts, river levels and any planned water releases,” she said.

The session will be on Wednesday, September 20, at 6pm at the Bunbartha Recreation Reserve, 10 Loch Garry Rd, Bunbartha.

No RSVP is required, and all community members are encouraged to attend.
