Flood watch advice for Broken River, Seven and Castle creeks

The SES has issued flood watch advice for the Broken River and Seven and Castle creeks in Greater Shepparton.

According to advice issued just after 2pm on Tuesday, minor flooding may develop from overnight for catchments in the flood watch area.

These include the Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta Rivers, Broken River, Seven and Castle Creeks and the Goulburn River upstream of Lake Eildon.

In the 24 hours to 9am Tuesday, rainfall totals of 30-50mm have been recorded across northern Victoria.

The community is advised to stay informed and monitor local conditions.

Possible local flooding could hit areas around rivers and streams, as well as caravan parks and camping grounds.

A further update is expected by 3pm on Tuesday, September 30 or as the situation changes.
