For the first time since 2019, Shepparton’s Fryers St will become a hub of local cuisine and talent.

The Fryers St Food Festival will kick off on Saturday, November 5, in a “bigger and better” format than before.

Greater Shepparton City Council has awarded the event management to JL Productions & Hire.

“We are excited to deliver an event showcasing Shepparton and providing a unique experience and will be working hard so the community, together with visitors, will feel excited and safe to gather, share and celebrate,” JL Productions & Hire director Jamie Lea said.

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said it was fantastic to have such a passionate local company co-ordinating the event.

“We are looking forward to seeing the streets come to life in November as the festival showcases our regional produce, restaurants and cafés and redeveloped CBD,” Cr Sali said.

“The festival has grown to be a favourite event for locals and visitors, to enjoy local food, drink and entertainment.”

The previous festival brought together 57 food vendors and four performing stages, showcasing artists from across the region.

Ms Lea has encouraged those who would like to become involved, and for business and community inquiries, to get in touch via email at jamie@jlproductions.net.au

The festival will take place on Saturday, November 5, from 4pm to 10pm on Fryers St, Shepparton.
