The first week of school is one of nerves for many students, even more so for those in Foundation.

But for St Joseph’s Cobram Foundation students, the start of school life couldn’t have been easier.

Foundation student Elora Santoro described her first few days as good and fun, and said her highlight was playing with her Year 6 buddy (each Foundation student at St Joseph’s receives a buddy from Year 6 who helps them integrate into school life).

For Hazel Ventre, her favourite part of beginning school was the playground.

Foundation teacher Britt Stacey said the new students were settling in well and beginning to understand school life.

“All the children came with the biggest smiles on their faces, and they were pleased to come back for their second day of Foundation,” she said.

Ms Stacey said the students could look forward to lots of learning and fun throughout the year.
