Shepparton now boasts the first Victorian store of furniture company Eureka Furniture.

The store specialises in using reclaimed and recycled timber for its furniture, setting its products apart from most other stores.

Eureka Furniture chief executive Joel Brisblat said the company celebrated the “imperfect beauty in natural products”.

“There is magic in natural products that you simply do not see in the synthetic,” Mr Brisblat said.

“When creating furniture with solid and recycled wood, marble and vintage leathers, the product is innately authentic.”

Eureka Furniture offers everything you might expect from a furniture store, with bedroom, dining, lounge and outdoor furniture all part of its range.

Eureka Furniture marketing co-ordinator Jordan Potts said it also had items unique to boutique stores, including timber wall unit libraries that could fill a whole wall.

While the store stocks mainly timber furniture, it also has soft couches and chairs for the lounge, as well as metallic products in its outdoor range.

Eureka Furniture first opened in Brisbane in 1986 and has since expanded to 38 stores, mainly in Queensland and NSW.

The Shepparton store is its first foray into the Victorian market.

Mr Potts said the company decided to open a store in Victoria because it had started attracting interest from Melbourne buyers for its products.

However, with the furniture aimed at a “more rural styled market”, the company wanted to base its store in regional Victoria.

“Shepparton is a good fit,” Mr Potts said.

“It will allow us to serve Victoria.”

He said the company was pleased to open the Shepparton store.

“We want to be a part of your community as much as you want to have us,” he said.

While it has been trading for about two weeks, Eureka Furniture in Shepparton will hold its grand opening on Saturday, April 6, from 9am to 5pm.

There will be plenty of chances to snap up a bargain, with up to 80 per cent off some of the furniture in store.

Children will be entertained with face painting, and there will also be a coffee van on site for the day.

Eureka Furniture is located at the Homemaker Centre at 7A/290 Benalla Rd, Shepparton.
