Primary school students from across the region recently dressed up as their favourite characters to celebrate Book Week.

An initiative of the Children’s Book Council of Australia, Book Week encourages youngsters to engage with literature in a fun way.

This year Book Week ran from Saturday, August 17 to Friday, August 23.

Barooga Public School sent in photos of their Book Week celebrations to share with the community.
