Lely Australia held a national two-day conference, in Gippsland in late July, attended by dairy farmers from throughout the country.

Lely Australia was established in 1974, which made this conference a 50-year celebration for the family-owned company.

The first robot milking unit was installed in Gippsland in 2001, which made the region relevant for the gathering on July 25 and 26 this year.

The first day of the Connect, Care and Grow conference was at West Gippsland Arts Centre in Warragul, and attendees heard from key Lely personnel and dairy farmers.

Also on the first day, a number of awards were presented to dairy farmers using Lely robot units.

Here are photos of some of the attendees on day one.
