Though it’s renowned for its games and activities, Family Haven traded board games like snakes and ladders for, well, real snakes.

On Thursday, January 18, Tiny Tails came bearing gifts of the slippery and scaly kind to the Mooroopna site.

Families could get up close and personal with lizards, turtles, and a snake called Noodle.

Photographer and Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project communications co-ordinator Amy De Paola snapped some photos of the cold-blooded creatures and the children whose hearts they warmed.

Family Haven Mooroopna, a Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project initiative, is open Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 2pm, at 15-17 Young St, Mooroopna.
