The weather may have had split personalities on Tuesday, November 7, but residents and visitors still found ways to enjoy the Melbourne Cup day public holiday in Cobram and Barooga.

For some, it was just a fun day at Thompsons Beach; for others, it was about finding a comfortable place to watch the race that stops the nation.

One of those places was Barooga Sporties, with multiple screens and fun and lively atmosphere.

The Courier’s Gabriel Garcia headed out and captured the cup day action.
