More than 1500 people, decked out in Christmas garb, attended the Moama Carols by Candlelight on Sunday, December 18.

It was the treasured event’s 30th edition.

Moama Lions Club president Colin Hosking said the club believed there were about three times more attendees than at the previous carols.

“It was just a cracker of a night,” he said.

“We ran out of all of our programs and kids’ lollies, which was just wonderful.”

The club confirmed it raised a considerable amount towards Echuca Neighbourhood House’s flood relief fund, but will announce the total at a later date.

The club thanked all the sponsors and volunteers for their assistance in making the night go ahead.

Riverine Herald photographer Steve Huntley captured all the smiling faces throughout the evening.
