A gumboot and work-boot throwing contest was popular among attendees at the barista day held on-farm by Gippsland Jersey, at Jindivick, in May.
Baristas and dairy farmers competed to throw gumboots and work-boots the furthest.
Some boots went high, some went low, some were thrown short. Overarm and underarm techniques were adopted.
A few boots were thrown long.
This was one of several activities designed to bring together in activity and conversation dairy farmers with the baristas, coffee roasters, chefs, cheesemakers, and café and restaurant owners who attended the barista day.
