As they say, with old age comes wisdom, and these young students have the grey hairs to prove it.
With hair rollers, wide-rimmed glasses and walking canes, our youngest school students celebrated their 100 days of learning, showing off their ‘old age’ in front of teachers and parents.
At Kyabram P-12 College, the celebration for the first-year students came in the form of a day filled with activities centred around the number 100, including literacy and numeracy fun, craft, music and dancing.
The 3ft tall students, in all their grey-haired glory, paraded in front of parents and teachers, strutting and channelling their inner old-person.
The little ones of Lancaster Primary School celebrated their 100 days of school by making a crown, playing pin the tail on the donkey and eating fairy bread with hundreds and thousands.
And while a bit of bad weather postponed outdoors games, they didn’t let a bit of rain tip their crowns, instead enjoying their celebration by staying warm and dry inside.
At St Augustine’s College in Kyabram, the Prep students showed off their counting and dancing skills at the same time, singing the catchy educational kids’ song Counting to 100.
Then, in front of parents and teachers, they crossed the stage, receiving a certificate and a sweet treat — fittingly in the form of Smarties — to recognise the hard work they have put into the past 100 days of school.
The youngest students of Tongala Primary School celebrated their first 100 days of school by dressing up as 100-year-olds and wrote down what they thought they would be doing when they were 100.
They also enjoyed maths activities focusing on the number 100, decorated biscuits and made fairy bread.
Congratulations to all the little ones on reaching this landmark milestone.
