An online survey is open for Gannawarra Shire residents to have their say about the fate of their pools.
The survey on council’s website is part of the community engagement process to determine the future of the pools in the shire.
“The community engagement period is an important step in the process to produce the final version of the Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
“Since development of the draft strategy began in late 2020, we have heard the passion our communities have for their local outdoor swimming pools, as well as the growing need for year-round warm water facilities to support learn to swim programs for the Gannawarra’s young people and to facilitate low-impact exercise programs.”
Comments will be accepted by council from residents in the Have Your Say form available at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/aquatic, by emailing council at council@gsc.vic.gov.au or by writing to Gannawarra Shire Council at PO Box 287, Kerang, Victoria, 3579.
“All feedback received during the community engagement period will assist with the development of the final version of the Gannawarra Aquatic Strategy, which will be presented to council at a later date,” Cr Gillingham said.
